Market Update

2007 was a strong banner year and we’re off and running this New Year with buyer activity. We saw an approx.overall 7% increase in sales in 2007 from 2006 with median price unchanged from 2006 hovering at $376,000. With the dip in mortgage rates and a large selection of inventory it makes for good conditions for house hunters.

New developments such as apartment style Viewpoint Residences and Midtown Loft style condos in the heart of Sechelt, are underway, Waterfront developments such as Silver Stone, Wakefield Beach, Whittakers and Farrington Cove offer an excellent product with sensational exposure. There is a good selection of inventory in single family homes, condos as well as vacant building lots. The average single family home is $380,000, and vacant lots vary from $125,000- $250,000 for inland and ocean view,  waterfront properties start at $ 700,000 and upward.
